Review on 🚿 Grohe 46092000 LadyLux Hose: 15mm x ½ x 1500 inches, Chrome - High-Quality Plumbing Replacement Hose for LadyLux Faucets by Charles Collier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect replacement for the original.

For 17 years we have had the Grohe Ladylux Plus in stainless steel, model 33.759-KDO. This part number 46 092 000 is an exact replacement for the retractable hose. If you still have your receipt, you can get this item under Grohe's warranty. Many years ago, the spray head had to be replaced; You received this part under warranty from Grohe (you must provide Grohe with a copy/photo of your original receipt). I couldn't find that scan so thought I'd buy that retractable tube right away, plus it would be a day or two quicker. I may not have had to replace that retractable hose. When I removed the hose, I saw that the yellow plastic "quick coupler" [connecting the retractable hose to the faucet body] had a "crack" - it was clearly defective and was likely the source of the water leak. under the kitchen sink. But since the hose is already 17 years old, I replaced it as a precaution. It only takes a few minutes [watching some YouTube videos on how to do this takes longer than it actually does]. Suggestions: Grohe [or had] a lifetime warranty. If you have a receipt for old items and don't mind waiting another day or so, contact them for a replacement. Grohe USA has a website. When you replace your retractable hose, you SHOULD replace the 'quick connector' at the same time - it's all plastic and while strong it doesn't seem to last long. forever, and it's easy to make [although it's a bit pricey, as is the retractable hose]. Also, if you remove the "old" retractable hose from the faucet and it seems to hang [hit an obstruction], when it's almost free it can hit the swivel arm eyelet [large arc swivel/swivel spout]. On the Ladylux Plus model, if you pull this curved spout vertically upwards with quick and light pressure, it will loosen and come loose. You can then easily remove the last few inches of the retractable hose [there is also a YouTube video showing this]. You don't need any tools, plumber or teflon tape for all of this. It is recommended to turn off the water in the unit or in the whole house [which I did]; However, if your faucet handle stays "off/closed", then no water is actually flowing through the hose.
