If you look at the rating on the lid of the tray you will see two numbers: 60lb and 89g/m2. If it were 60lb bond paper, the two tablets combined would weigh 7lbs. Instead, two tablets weigh just 3.6 pounds on my digital scale. That weight brings this paper closer to 24 pounds. The basis for the Β£60 valuation is a type of paper known as 'offset text'. This is confirmed by the second rating of 89 g/m2. Yes, it's fairly thin paper that's a little thicker than regular 20-pound carbon paper. I use it to practice with fountain pens. I don't notice any transparency in normal prose writing. I only write on one side so bleeding isn't that important to me, but this paper is too thin for ink drawings. Multiple strokes in the same area to darken one color or blend another color will result in puddles and oversaturation. The lid of the tray clearly states that the paper is for dry materials. If you are looking for a tray for fountain pens and markers, you should probably keep looking.
