Review on Allstar Performance ALL11017 Bleeder Bottle by Tom Ball

Prerequisite for flushing the brake fluid by one person.

Just tried flushing the brake fluid on one of my cars for the first time. I tend to be alone when I work on my cars so this was the closest inexpensive way to flush brake fluid besides the gravity method. Easy to use. It came with a hose connected to the black piece and the center of the lid. I assume the check valve was in the middle since you can see through the black piece (which I think is for ventilation). Disconnect the hose from the black part, connect it to the caliper exhaust valve, lift the hose in an arc and place the bottle with a magnet under the exhaust valve on the caliper or rotor. Open the outlet valve and start the flush. Easy enough. I love that the hose that comes with it is clear and allows me to see air trapped in the line (I assume the store I went to to flush it the first time had the work messed up as I saw a lot of air coming out my front brake). It also lets you see when the new brake fluid starts flushing out and lets you know you're done with that turn. The brake pedal became hard and the brakes start working as soon as I press the brake pedal! Definitely a must-have for one-person jobs or even regular two-person jobs.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are some nuances
