I wanted to love them and use them for years. But the lenses have dirt inside. I bought these for my 4 year old who was delighted when they arrived and immediately went outside to "start my first bird watching". Initial build quality feels great for kids, it feels solid and the rubber top feels nice. The eyepieces are really hard and hurt my eyes, but I'm an adult so I don't expect a perfect fit. Zoom and sharpness are also excellent. A pair of fir trees, my kid loved them until he noticed the "hair" or string in the lens. I uploaded pictures. The first is made of rope or hair (it looks more obvious to the human eye but was difficult to see with the camera. He asked me to pull it out every time he used them, so I requested a replacement to cover the issue explain. Revane quickly sent a replacement. Pulled out a new pair and noticed an EVENTS WORSE "dust bunny" sitting in the replacement pair's lens. (Again, this is much more obvious and distracting in real life than the picture shows. I don't know.) don't want to do a third party replacement as it's a hassle to return packages in my area.Very upset about the bad experience with my child.This is a simple way of quality control that ANYONE in the manufacturing process can fix by simply examining the packaging beforehand. A total mistake and a waste of resources in the manufacturing, packaging, shipping, storage and delivery to the consumer.
