These lights work great indoors only. Never a problem with them. The moment they stepped outside (San Diego location) they began to rust in the clear light zone. You can see it in every single light. After 2 months one strand faded forever. This alone changes the external appearance drastically. It's too expensive to change. Another strand burned out about 4 feet at the very end after 3 months. That's very sad. I have purchased a total of 4 400 foot long filament to run along the fence to light our house and I need to replace them all in 2-3 months. Keep them inside and you'll be fine! They work great when connected to a timer. But PLEASE avoid outdoors! To be honest, it doesn't take rain or moisture at all. If you live in a humid environment I would recommend a typical LED with separate outlets. It's worth it. I liked the screw together to connect the aspect in them. This is a blatant shame. Maybe they should be redesigned and waterproofed to make them last longer. I will NOT buy more. :( Unfortunately they don't last long enough.
