My Sony STR-DN1080 came with a useless little VHF antenna cable. I have a 4 element VHF antenna on a tower 60ft up and wanted to use it. It has a 75 ohm coaxial F connector. I bought these little cables that fit the Sony STR-DN1080 connector and used a 75-300 ohm transformer (balun) to convert the coax to two wires and soldered the 300 ohm transformer wires to the red and black wires on this plug and It worked great converting a coax cable to a Sony STR-DN1080 FM jack on the back of the receiver. Simply mask off after soldering to avoid short circuits.
