I used it twice on SUP and it already broke. I was using it yesterday (second use) when during use (in the middle of a lake) the paddle fell off and immediately sank. I couldn't get it and had to swim to shore for 15 minutes. Previous paddles I've used had metal buttons that you push/pull to connect the pieces, this paddle has a plastic piece that you open/close when you put the pieces together. The paddle can also be taken apart when it is "closed", otherwise it will fall apart during use and you will get stuck in the middle of the lake. I do not recommend.
