First off, I'll admit I screwed up. For some reason I figured I'd buy a pair and not one. Bought with lower ball joints. And then I'm also guilty of not realizing I only had 1 upper ball joint until I started spinning my truck. The ball joint is fairly easy to install, but I also had to buy a non-AutoZone original to complete the project as I only bought one to start with. There is a wire ring that you need to install to keep the cuff and grease inside. IMO, the aftermarket ball joint was easier in this regard. By the way, removing the old upper ball joints was an absolute nightmare. First, I removed it with a jackhammer fitted with a picnic attachment. The other side was much more difficult. I was finally able to install the puller to take it off. It wasn't fun. But the dealer charged me $1,500 to replace the UBJ, LBJ and tie rod ends. I could do all this for $450. So overall it was worth it.
