initially super

I bought this to replace the old one. This new one was working fine the day it was installed. it was August 2020. It has been on the table in the shop ever since. When I used it yesterday, the clicker that creates the spark felt spongy when pressed and didn't click. I spent 5 minutes crossing my fingers, it never clicked. finally gave in and was given a box of matches. previous lamp: it worked for 3 or 4 years, then the small screw on the flame arrestor came loose and fell off unnoticed, then the flame arrestor fell off and i noticed it, but the screw was already lost by then. It is possible to redesign the flame arrestor and have it screw or snap in place rather than being held in place by a tiny set screw.

Pros
  • Piezo ignition with trigger, flame protection
Cons
  • No instructions
