Good but inconsistent

Lights up slightly. Attached it to a green Coleman propane tank. For the first few uses, it lit up on the first click or second. Good flame control. For the next few uses I had to press 10-15 times to ignite. The spark is still produced when I click dry so I don't know why it doesn't light easier. I can still light it up so it's not a big deal but I'm concerned about long term performance.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Negative gift

Works great with gas welders

Replaces a very old torch. That's a big step forward. Doesn't blink, from different angles. The flame is hot. With proper care I think it will last a long time. I've seen reviews saying it's fragile. It seems pretty strong to me, although it could be stronger. My guess is that if I drop it with the tank connected it could damage the control valve knob if it lands the wrong way (not that I planned on that).

Amazing Flashlight!: Flashlights

I wish I bought this sooner! I don't care that you make fire by sweating brass. You name it, this thing has awesome control! The best flashlight I've ever had, I've been using it for a year now. I used to use a benzomatic pen but I will not buy anything other than this brand again. I've only used propane but I bet this thing will be great with mappa gas. I absolutely love this torch. The best flashlight I've ever had.

Sturdy, compact and easy to use, but VERY durable.

I have had 6 different burners from Bernzomatic, Worthingtons, Atwoods and others. No comparison to this torch. It fits in the palm of your hand but is fairly tight as it's made of cast brass. It always ignites on the first try and the flame control is very smooth and not annoying. You can make a 1/2" or 6" cone flame. Highly recommend this burner over other cheap ones that screw on a 1lb bottle.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • No power

Poor quality, do not buy

later Not recommended. Item broke after less than a year of use. It is mainly used to light grills and fires. The detonator stopped working and had to be lit with a lighter. I had to start by disconnecting from the tank as even with the handle screwed all the way out this would still allow for an imperceptible gas leak. In the end, during use, it began to leak in the case area, and almost the entire assembly caught fire. It got extremely unsafe so I threw it away.

Pros
  • Ideal for soldering, soldering, welding, cooking, lighting charcoal, glass work, etc. Universal flashlight for professionals and DIY enthusiasts;

Poorly designed propane torches

Looks good but ends there. Bad design. Small problem to short circuit to get a good grip on the hand. Two main problems = Large amounts of gas are expected to escape when connecting or disconnecting the tank. What is the problem with the lighting, before lighting you need to turn on the gas. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but the extra two-hand step, the smell, and the wasted gas do. I returned it. Designed for one-handed use, the BernzOmatic TS8000 is, in my opinion, much better designed and

Pros
  • Use a standard propane canister, MAPP or MAP/Pro
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

initially super

I bought this to replace the old one. This new one was working fine the day it was installed. it was August 2020. It has been on the table in the shop ever since. When I used it yesterday, the clicker that creates the spark felt spongy when pressed and didn't click. I spent 5 minutes crossing my fingers, it never clicked. finally gave in and was given a box of matches. previous lamp: it worked for 3 or 4 years, then the small screw on the flame arrestor came loose and fell off unnoticed, then…

Pros
  • Piezo ignition with trigger, flame protection
Cons
  • No instructions
