Replaces a very old torch. That's a big step forward. Doesn't blink, from different angles. The flame is hot. With proper care I think it will last a long time. I've seen reviews saying it's fragile. It seems pretty strong to me, although it could be stronger. My guess is that if I drop it with the tank connected it could damage the control valve knob if it lands the wrong way (not that I planned on that).
