Lights up slightly. Attached it to a green Coleman propane tank. For the first few uses, it lit up on the first click or second. Good flame control. For the next few uses I had to press 10-15 times to ignite. The spark is still produced when I click dry so I don't know why it doesn't light easier. I can still light it up so it's not a big deal but I'm concerned about long term performance.
