I bought this lock primarily because of the resettable four digit combination. Some other reviews have said that the combo resets sometimes. I tried anyway. Well, it did it to me. We reset the combination to the family standard. We used a padlock to secure our kayaks. Several family members used kayaks with this combination and one day we couldn't open the lock. There is absolutely no chance that we used the wrong combo, so the combo will reset itself. No problem, but a quick web search turned up no fewer than four ways to crack the Master Lock 175 quickly, and they all work. And to make matters worse, when I brought this lock home I tackled it with a drill press and an angle grinder. It's mostly papier-mâché, no matter the combination of faceplate or yoke with a power tool that pierces in more than a few seconds. Therefore, this block will most likely protect you, but not the scammers. So despite the excellent performance, the quality and reliability remain low and this lock is not worth it.
