I love this cutting set! It's so easy and convenient to use and the blades are very sharp! The apple core went through my apple like clockwork. This is much quicker than using a knife and is definitely safer for an older child. The apple corer has countless uses, but where this product really shines is with mangoes! I really love mangoes but hate cutting the pit. It's messy and I'm always scared of cutting myself with a slippery mango. No longer! While the mango slicer's knives are very sharp, my mango was also very ripe and soft. When the slicer started pressing down on the mango instead of slicing it, I removed it and cut the skin with a knife where the blade had made a dent. I put the blade back on the mango and it cut easily. This doesn't happen with hard mangoes, but it's nice to be able to use a soft mango slicer when you're helping it with the knife. I hadn't actually thought of a potato cutter, since we usually make mashed potatoes as a side dish instead of fries, but then it dawned on me as I stood in front of me with two mango halves. Why not try dicing a mango? It turned out beautiful! It cut all the way through the mango flesh without cutting through the skin and I used a large serving spoon to scoop out the chunks. Making mangoes has never been easier for me and now it's my new favorite fruit tool! He can probably dice tomatoes, onions and peppers too! This is definitely a must-have kitchen gadget!
