It had double-sided tape on its underside, but the side facing the circuit board was not removed, leaving the element and lens dangling during shipment, secured only by a minimal flexible connector between the underside of the element and its electrical contact points. . Removing the substrate without bending or damaging the element's connection to the circuit board is no trivial task. Perhaps look for another supplier that actually has the time to repair the element and lens.
