Review on ☕ Organic Decaf Coffee, Swiss Water Process, Dark Roast, Whole Bean, 10 Oz - Fairtrade, Kosher - Kicking Horse Coffee by Rey Hossain

I was recently advised to eliminate coffee from my diet - for both the acidity and the caffeine. I'm hoping to find a low acid and/or decaffeinated option that tastes really good. I didn't notice anything about the acidity of this coffee, but obviously it meets the decaffeinated mark, so I decided to give it a try. Eh, this coffee had almost no taste. I will say that this isn't the worst decaf I've ever had - the body seemed about the same as a regular cup, but there was no complexity at all. I usually smell coffee through the packaging but not with this one. No aroma of the coffee in the bag, and still almost no aroma when I opened it and stuck my nose right into the beans. I will not buy again. The fact that I haven't smelled it really makes me think of freshness, although it's possible this coffee is much better and I just got an old batch. I didn't see the roast date on the package but the best buy date was September 2021. Assuming they use a 12 month mark that would mean these beans were probably roasted 4 months before they got to me.
