I've been a loyal TiVo user almost since the beginning. I've gone through several different models and am currently using two. I've always liked TiVos and have recommended them to anyone willing to listen. I have to say I'm not disappointed with this particular remote but I am disappointed with the software required. The remote control works perfectly, but the software leaves a lot to be desired. The program was easy to install but difficult to use. It took four or five installs for voice activation to work. There are too many steps in each operation. What used to take a button or two to do now takes three times as long. And I don't like the screen layout. I've been using this remote for a long time and have never used voice activation. If you're considering buying this remote, be prepared that your TiVo life will change. drastic.
