It was very difficult to extend just the first section and then when I tried to install the other section it fell apart. I was able to reassemble it so the doorstop had at least a 12" handle that I can reach since I'm in a wheelchair. Back then the doorstop itself wasn't high enough to stop the door, I had to attach a 5/8" piece of plywood to the top of the doorstop to make it work, which it does now just handle with a shortened one. I'm glad I only paid $10 for this, but at least I had the right tools and materials to make it work, it would have just been nice not to have to bend down to use it.
