Impressed! in Compact Radios and Stereos

After reading the reviews, then consider and order. When I opened the package everything was a piece of cake for me afterwards. I recommend reading Destruction before proceeding. The reason I say this is that everything was going fine, no issues until I tried to sync my iPod to the device and noticed a little thing. There's a lonely button on the back that has nothing to do with it unless you actually read the instructions. This button needs to be pressed when the iPod is inserted and this connects the iPod so that the time is set by it. However, everything else works pretty much like most plug-in iPods. Pay special attention to put the iPod on the tray, there is a small corner that can be damaged if not properly cared for. The sound is not bad at all, it has presence and projects. I ended up buying a second one to have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Batteries are included and this baby is ready to go once everything is set up. The remote control is so cute that you can use it too. If only we could get a remote control for our MacBook Pro! (sorry for the digression) It was pretty easy for my wife to set the timer, I can't handle that part at all. My only complaint and the reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the plug adapter, the damn thing is ridiculously big! I mean, everything else is getting smaller and yet we're still dealing with idiotic adapters stealing space. At least it sits horizontally on top of the outlet, rather than on the lower tier of wall outlets, due to the space requirements. I can only imagine that this is a burden for an extension. Yes, and it improves the sound quality. It fills the room really well, although you have to turn it off a bit to talk and we don't have to turn the music on anymore, so it helps us a lot, but we found we needed a second one so we don't have to turn on the music from the other room to hear it well enough. There is no bass or treble control.
