Review on High-Quality SE Pro 10x 21mm LED Triplet Loupe - MJ37801L by Carla Anderson

Good quality loupe which far exceeded my expectations. Sturdy metal construction with a ring of bright LEDs around the bottom lens that can be turned on and off with a small plastic switch. The kit also includes a small wrench for changing the battery and a nice (seemingly natural) leather carry case. I chose the backlit model because I don't like looking for a strong light source in my own shadow. A few words on optics: I think I have to add a caveat here. I have a hobby (some would say sickness?) of amateur astronomy, I have several telescopes and first class expensive eyepieces (lenses). I feel like this gives me a bit more experience in terms of optical quality, mainly as I'm very used to looking through small pieces of glass of varying quality and have experience at spotting optical defects. After playing around with this loupe all evening I can say that I am quite happy with the optical quality. I don't notice any weird color distortions and the image quality is pretty sharp across the entire field of view. This is the only loupe I've reviewed from this manufacturer so I can't vouch for consistency, but the Revain reviews support my findings. Even if there is a large "MADE IN CHINA" sticker on the front of the leather case, I don't see that as a disadvantage. In the world of amateur astronomy, more and more telescope optics are being produced in China, which have proven to be quite good and stable. loose, and mostly left open when hanging by a cord around the neck. A bit of an issue overall as I keep it in a leather case when not in use, but an issue nonetheless. Please take this into account when purchasing.
