Aerate the soil well and remove algae!

Overall impression: I like the scraper because I can use it to simply "loosen up" the sand/soil for my 55g aquarium. The scraper was well made and the scraper did not scratch my aquarium. Also, I used to have to use a magnetic scraper that scratched the glass on my tank. Now I can do my entire tank in less than 10 minutes. I might do double passes to get rid of stubborn algae.

Pros

Easy Installation - Blade part can be removed and replaced to extend the life of the product. The blade can be changed in two directions, 10 blades correspond to 20 one-sided scrapers. Once the blade is disassembled it can be used as a sand leveler with minimal water disturbance and without disturbing the rest of the fish/plant life.
