Review on πŸ‰ Dragonhawk Golden Dual Tattoo Machine Gun Power Supply: LCD Display, Foot Pedal & Clip Cord P077 by Veronica Wade

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very fully equipped! Hope it works/latest

Very pretty! More options than my other 4 power supplies. First, unlike most, the stylus isn't very sensitive. It has little clicks you can feel and each one is 0.1 and a full turn of the knob doesn't go from 0 to 100%. This requires a lot of twists and turns. I like the easy fine tuning. If you've ever used the others, it's almost impossible to jump straight into a number because they're so sensitive and some fluctuate as well. This one isn't at all. It also has the optional hard start feature if you have a hard start machine. And he has an optional sleep in 5 minutes. The clip cord I have is black and about 5-5.5 feet long. The pedal is about the same but a good pedal of its kind, I noticed it has connectors, the nice touch hasn't been on others. I can't give it 5 stars until I put many hours into it and see that it works and survives. AND ALSO. I checked the actual voltage with a multimeter, I've used the same meter many times and I know it's accurate. I first determined the + side for my machine and then found that at lower settings it's 1V higher than what it shows basically all the time up to the highest voltages. Also, it always starts a few volts above the set value and gradually decreases to 1 volt above. More than 10V on hard start. And at 0 it still shows 1.12V. At a maximum voltage of 18V it showed 17.79 and still increased very gradually. And basically there is always 0.5V, no matter what is connected and when. It doesn't matter to the tattoo, just curious because I tested another one at the same time and it was MUCH more consistent and accurate, showing 0 on 0. And it was with the same pedal and clamp. I hope this is a touch of ingenious engineering and not a potentially fatal bug. Fingers crossed I always keep a spare in my kit due to power supplies failing, but it's so nice and small I really hope it works.
