At first I thought the one straw I tried was great - I could swallow faster and the black straws would look nice in my glass dispenser - but then I left the straw in ice water for 30 minutes. When I returned to the half-full glass, the straw at the bottom was wet. I didn't think it mattered; The straw still functioned normally. BUT there was a taste of cardboard and paint that lingered in my mouth until I ate a few hours later. Perhaps this would not have been noticed if the drink was heavily flavored or if you drank it faster. I returned them for a refund.
