I wanted the phone holder to be highly visible and easy to reach. I travel a lot and having maps while traveling is very important. However, it must not be in a location where it distracts from viewing or use. This holder gives me several options. The best part is that the suction cup actually works. I had my doubts that I could fully extend the holder and it would still hold, but it does! There is a button in the middle of the device that allows you to put your phone on the stand and the phone will be automatically clamped. To release, simply press the two tabs it releases directly into your hand. I wasn't aware of this feature when I ordered it, but it turned out to be my favorite feature.
