Might work as intended, not sure.
It will probably straighten out the dents in the collar, but it definitely won't stretch the tube for splined joints. I knew it wasn't meant to be used for this, but figured it would be cheap enough to try. The two flared parts broke in approximately the same direction when tested. I really can't imagine it being able to remove dents and such, but it can.
