Review on Dark Gray FLIR Ocean Scout TK Monocular by Jessica Wallace

I went cheap and bought a night vision scope but unfortunately it had a large zoom for my purposes. I didn't want to spend too much at first, but I enjoyed it so much that I was a bit more keen on spending more on better tech. I have no regrets getting this at all, the thermals are much better for night time wildlife viewing as you can spot things straight away without having to look around but it means you can't see the surroundings very well. Certain color options help you see your surroundings better, but the device is mostly good for wildlife viewing. Now let's move on to the main problem of the device. Camera quality: I can see a deer from about 50 meters away and I know it's a deer. Further away, it may look like it's just a hot spot. I personally don't mind it, but for those getting it for the first time, they might be disappointed with it. My advice is to buy it and try it for a while and if it's not good enough for you, send it back. It looks pretty clear up close though. Battery life and storage are pretty good, and it lasts quite a while whether stored for a few weeks or used for a few hours.
