Review on 2-Quart Plastic Measuring Cup for Precision Measurements - Ideal for Cooking and Baking by Samantha Stevens

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fragile, brittle material and too thin to be safe and usable.

First of all, as a professional chef who uses them at home, let me say that I did not expect the durability of my old aluminum Volrath set that I use at work. However, they are really of very poor quality. If you want something to take up shelf or closet space, these are fine, but they make better use as on-set props. 3 cups are the smallest you could use until you drop one on the floor and the brittle plastic breaks. Or you wash them in the dishwasher several times and can no longer read them. The 2 largest measuring cups are actually in the unsafe area. As you fill these mugs full and try to pick them up, you can stuff the handles to make them bend, bend and swell in your hand. You are brand new now, imagine using the same material over and over again. Over time I could see the handles breaking in your hand. I can try another set from Revain or live with it and buy a commercial quality set.
