Decent Trail Camera

I bought this to see the animals using some of the bridges we have in the swamp (I always find excrement on the bridges so I wanted to know what uses them). I was surprised that the camera came with a 32GB microSD card, so I didn't have to buy an additional card. Installation was simple and straightforward and there are multiple mounting options. I just tied it to a tree near the bridge with a strap. The photos taken were sharp, with day photos in color and night photos in black and white. Image quality was decent. However, I would have liked the photo lag to be a bit shorter as I continued to capture the "big shots" of the animals across the bridge where the animal had already passed the camera by the time the shot was taken. This was apparently also the case when the animal approached the camera over the bridge. So the animals were moving fast enough to almost pass the camera before the photo was taken. I'll try adjusting the camera position to see if I can get more than just a general shot. Overall, the camera is solid and well made. It does a good job of keeping photos crisp and sharp (which was noticed when I was photographing and filming myself crossing the bridge). The camera takes either photos or videos or both. I usually set both. There's no Wi-Fi connectivity, but I found it relatively useless anyway, so I don't really care. I prefer to just swap out the memory card and take the card home to test. Or use a portable card reader with a screen if you want, but it's just more fun to look at photos in peace at home than to squint at a small screen on the go. The camera allows me to view photos directly on the camera, but that's just impractical, so I prefer to take the card home with me. Overall I really like this camera, especially for the price.

Pros
  • 🦌 The widely used trail camera can work in standard photo, multi-shot, time-lapse or video mode. Plus, up to 12 months of standby time saves you from changing batteries. No matter where or how you use your camera, there's always a mode that's perfect for the situation.
Cons
  • Available in white only
