Review on AUTOPDR 48-Piece DIY Paintless Dent Removal Tool Kit for Car Body, Bike, and Fridge by Justin Dorsett

Seems to do what you need

I bought this kit to fix some of the dimples in my cars and the dimples on our new stainless steel fridge door. That dimple really annoyed us given the money spent, and it was obvious. The kit I ordered didn't come with the line card, so I bought it separately. I highly recommend the line card. The kit arrived fairly quickly and included all the parts advertised. There was no indication that any of the parts had been previously used. I unpacked everything and bought some 91% isopropyl alcohol and a small spray bottle I found at the local Wal-Mart travel department. Perfect size for this application. The glue gun is ready to use in a few minutes. I watched YouTube videos on how to use these PDR kits so I followed these examples: I cleaned the surface where the dent was with rubbing alcohol, covered the puller head with lots of glue, attached the head to the dent and left there for a while . about a minute or so. I then used a leverage puller and applied light pressure to the handle to pry the dent open. First I used a small dimple head which was a bad idea as it dented the dent. I switched to a smoother round head for the second puff and ended up with a smaller square head to balance it all out. The round heads came off easily leaving the glue behind. I had to scrape off the square head. The glue came off easily with rubbing alcohol and a plastic scraper. There were no marks left and not a single scratch on the door from the attempt. The dent came out, but I was afraid it would overtighten and create a high spot. And so it happened - the door leaf is light, so I thought it had to happen. I've tapped the higher points with the tools provided and it's much, much better now. Not perfect yet, but much better than a dent. The line table shows before and after (left in the picture before, right after). On a line chart, when the lines curve outward like a circle, indicating a dent. You can see where my dent was. The hill or crest appears as inward curving lines. If you look closely at the same spot to the right of the composite image, you'll see a thicker black line that's shifted slightly inward, showing a peak. It's hard to get a clear idea of the shallow dent and bump on these steel surfaces, but the line board makes it clear. I later pulled out a few small dents on my black 4Runner. Worked great - hard to tell where the dents were (2 on the hood and 2 on the driver's door). Glue is easily removed with alcohol and a plastic scraper. In general, while this set works. I'm planning on tackling my 2015 4runner this weekend so I'll edit this review as needed. For now I recommend this kit.

Pros
  • Effective Security ----- Every tool in the dent repair kit has been rigorously tested and certified by Rockwell Hardness. High-temperature resistant glue guns and high-viscosity yellow glue sticks can repair relatively hard body parts. Compared with the old version paintless dent repair kit, the new dent lifter can adjust more than 1cm in height and more than 3.8cm in width, some glue protrusions are thicker and larger in diameter, they are more effective and durable to remove the dent .
Cons
