We saved thousands of dollars with this gas detector. After a "professional" leak detection service couldn't find a leak in our gas line, I bought one and filled our line with BBQ propane at 5psi for six hours. I was able to find and fix the problem without replacing our entire underground gas line (which is really long). The meter has a cheap looking plastic case but comes in a decent case, the sensor works well, the interface is easy to use. I recommend gently moving the sensor as it takes some time for it to respond and looking at the device rather than listening to the alert (which defaults to 500ppm) as you identify and isolate very small leaks can that you could not. would recognize your nose. not discover. I would buy it again without hesitation and it also helped me find a small leak in the oven faucet.
