If you're not already using them, these inexpensive filters are invaluable as they prevent dirt that gets into your small engine's fuel tank from entering the carburetor. I'm very careful when filling up, but over the years grass, dirt, paper, etc. inevitably ends up in the tank. It doesn't clog the filter in the tank (holes in the filter in the tank are big enough to let the pigeon in), but it does clog the small passages in the carburetor from the needle and seat to the injectors in the fuel tank. This keeps that crap from entering the carb period. And so you can see how much he caught.
