Review on 🎡 Phono Preamp Preamplifier with Turntable, Auxiliary Input, Volume Control – Enhancing SEO by Lakeisha Butler

Ideal budget option for upgrading old equipment

So far this preamp has been perfect for what I bought it for. I have a late 1980's Sony turntable that sounds great but needs to be boosted to line level, which I was trying to hook up to a late 1990's Aiwa stereo that also sounds good but doesn't have a built in phono stage , and I also wanted my Bluetooth receiver to be connected to the system without having to plug and unplug cables every time I want to switch from player to Bluetooth. This element makes the sound as loud as I need for this system, with headroom, and maintains the fidelity of the player. I can switch to a Bluetooth receiver via the aux input at the push of a button. A bonus of the preamp block is the output volume control. The volume control on my bookshelf stereo is sensitive, so I control it from the preamp. I'm giving it almost 4/5 stars because this preamp is a few years old so doesn't have some of the newest features of current preamps (remotes and such) but it's still a solid unit at a reasonable price. . It was a great option to upgrade my secondary stereo system (but my main personal music area) until I invest in a brand new, better system, and since the stereo system I'm using only has one input (RCA), I can switch between the two external components without swapping the plugs back and forth. It was more than worth the price I paid for the new life the record player and stereo had in my music room. This is the perfect preamp for people who like vintage turntables.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
