12V solid output is best for power converter
Sometimes also known as a boost/buck converter, the input voltage can be more or less than 12V, the output is stable. Doesn't heat up. I use it for my water pump and solar fridge where the night voltage might be 11.5 and the charge voltage might be 14.5 - so the motors run at the same speed all the time.
