Review on Garmin Forerunner 25 Large Black GPS, Finders & Accessories by Joshua Sharma

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price, some issues with the strap but still the best working GPS I've ever used.

I've used several generations of Garmin, Apple Watch 2 and 3 but this Garmin is my go-to running gear because I think it's the best of all and works best with Strava. Advantages in general: - Ease of use. When I want to run, I get ready and run exactly until the GPS locks up, usually 5 seconds to a minute. - Accuracy. I have noticed that this watch is very accurate for me. I use it in central Oregon and the San Jose area of California. Battery life. It takes some time. I can use it two days in a row with no battery issues. Pros vs Apple Watch Series 2 and 3: This may be because I mostly use the Strava app, but I find the Strava app doesn't work properly on the Apple Watch. I've noticed that I can run with the Apple Watch even before the GPS gets stuck, so I'm not entirely sure when the GPS gets stuck, then I start running and sometimes get strange results for the first kilometer . The physical buttons on this watch are nice when my hands are sweaty. Apple Watch's touchscreen is hard to press when I'm sweaty. - Accuracy. With the Apple Watch, I sometimes give or take 0.4 miles in a half marathon. It's still no more than 0.2 miles on Garmin. Cons of this Garmin integration is Forced Garmin Connect. I don't like the Garmin Connect app for the automatic updates and sometimes poor syncing. When uploading to Strava, I just plug in my watch, manually copy the activity file to my desktop and upload it that way. The hole I use every time is about to break. picture attached. All in all a great watch and I would probably buy it again. But due to the fact that the rubber band will soon break, I give 4 stars, not 5.
