Extremely happy with running GPS navigators

Extremely happy with this watch. It's small and light, which is important to me as I have a small wrist. I tried the Forerunner 35 and they were too big and heavy and uncomfortable. I bought the watch to use in hard mud so I needed a GPS watch that was at least waterproof and durable and this unit delivered. I have a small complaint - I would like it to vibrate when I get notifications, but I can do without it. I also wish the watch had a heart rate monitor. I would pay another 100€ for it if…

Affordable and easy to use

I have played sports all my life. I was looking for an easy to use GPS watch that could show me the time of day, distance and speed I've walked and run. This watch does all of those things at a very affordable price. Of course, it also connects to my smartphone so I can upload my data to Garmin Connect. While I don't really need to use many of Garmin Connect's features, it's nice; and allows me to view my daily sleep pattern. I really appreciate the fact that it uses 4 simple buttons instead of

Great GPS watch for the money

I bought this watch for my son in his first year of Cross Country. They recommended a GPS watch and I use the 220 but I didn't want to buy him this and it was pretty cheap and gave him exactly what he needed. His current pace, timer, and ability to track runs. It doesn't need all the bells and whistles and it does a great job. It seems to take a little longer to acquire satellites than my 220. Sometimes 2 minutes. It's not that important. I like the USB connection better than my 220. The clip…

Disappointing on sports and handheld GPS

I really like the size and functionality of this watch. When I use it on my runs I have no problems. But when it comes to syncing and downloading files after an activity, that's a whole different issue. At least once a week, if not more often, the map and mileage information is not syncing or uploading to Garmin Connect or Strava due to match file corruption. I've called Garmin several times about this and they've never really gotten an answer as to why this is happening. I've had a Forerunner…

Recreational use overview - Not used for frequent runs

I used to have a couple of Garmin Forerunner 10 watches but when the straps started breaking I decided it was time for an upgrade. Upon receipt of this watch, the bracelet feels cheaper but more flexible. I had no problems with the tape and it's easy to attach. The main difference with the Forerunner 10 is that this watch also has the ability to pair with your phone and receive text messages, Facebook messages, and calls. CANNOT TAKE CALLS as far as I know. Notifications will appear and you can

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

I've used several generations of Garmin, Apple Watch 2 and 3 but this Garmin is my go-to running gear because I think it's the best of all and works best with Strava. Advantages in general: - Ease of use. When I want to run, I get ready and run exactly until the GPS locks up, usually 5 seconds to a minute. - Accuracy. I have noticed that this watch is very accurate for me. I use it in central Oregon and the San Jose area of California. Battery life. It takes some time. I can use it two days in…
