not too easy to take out the weights and put them back in.This is very comfortable. I like the color. Getting the weights out is not super east, I just went ahead and broke some of the stitching. I have not tried to get one of the weights (sand I think) back in but I do not think that will be super easy. Each weight weighs .97 pounds
