Review on Enhanced Eye Comfort: Adjustable Brightness Desktop Monitor for Optimal Eye Care by Jim Mascho

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable and stylish light bar

I've been eyeing the monitor's light bars for a while, but can't seem to get enough cash for BenQ. It was reasonably priced and I was already familiar with the LumeCube brand. Packaging: It was well packaged in a plastic tray with parts in plastic sleeves. The instructions were available via a QR code that took you to a page on the LumeCube website. I appreciate not having paper to throw away anymore. First impression: She seemed to be quite strong! The hinge mechanism works smoothly, but doesn't wobble. Because of the way it attaches to your screen, it appears to support a wide variety of monitor thicknesses. It includes a USB-C-to-A cable for connecting to a power source either via the USB port on the back of the monitor or via a power plug. I love this modularity! The cord is about 5 feet long so there is plenty of flexibility. Usage: You turn it on by pressing the right side button. After switching on, it remembers the last brightness/warmth setting. It has stepless adjustment of brightness and warmth by rotating the right end knob, which is very convenient. I would like it to be a little lighter and a little warmer, but these are nits. To set the temperature, press the button a second time to switch from brightness mode to temperature mode. Click again to return. Press and hold to turn off. I thought it might be capacitive but it is tactile. In practice, this means I end up holding the left side with my other hand so the bar doesn't change position every time I change modes or turn the device on or off. The bottom material is grippy but not sticky, so enough pressure gets it moving. Bottom line: I like the light it gives on my desk and keyboard area and it means I don't have to hold the monitor or the ambient light. so bright to see what's happening on my desk. The light quality is excellent, nothing flickers.
