I initially liked the metal construction, and the vinyl grip on the big end is justified both aesthetically and functionally. At first I couldn't get a clear picture, so I was a little disappointed. But there is a happy ending. Because I won't give up that easily. I noticed that the small tube rotates with the eyepiece and extends and retracts accordingly. design feature to consider.
