Review on IRIS Extra Deluxe Travel Carrier by Robin Smith

Decent travel crate with minor blemishes

My dogs and I travel quite a bit so on longer trips I wanted to make sure they were safe. I found this crate for my small dog after some searching. And after reading the reviews it seemed quite decent. The product arrived on time and the packaging was undamaged upon arrival. Overall I was very happy with the box when I received it. It was very easy to put together and was perfect for my dog to travel with in the car. For the record, she is an 8 pound Pomeranian and the crate I bought was the 18 inch version with the red bottom. In the cage she has room to stand up and curl up comfortably. She has no place to rot lying down; However, it is important to remember that I bought this box with the intention of traveling in a car. When traveling with a dog in a cage, you don't want it to have too much space. God forbid you get into an accident, you don't want them doing too many somersaults in their cage. What I also liked about this cage is that it is well ventilated and comes with a small bowl that hangs on the door. It was convenient as I didn't have to buy a bowl to go. The plastic it's made of also feels solid, rather than flimsy and cheap. What I didn't like most about the drawer is that when assembled, the door has slots on the sides. For the price I paid for the drawer I would like a narrower door. All in all, this is a small shortcoming, and the box still does its job. :)
