Review on BELL Ollie Bike & Skate Helmet: Pretty Pink/Purple Protection for Biking and Skating by Joseph Adaymiln

Pretty but short lived and no base of skull protection. It fits me well, although it loses a little it's not that bad. My head measures 56.6 cm which falls in the range of 54-58. I think if you measure under 56cm it will be too big and there isn't any extra padding to put in to tighten the fit. My real problem with this, especially when skating or skateboarding, is the lack of base of skull protection. If you fall backwards with this helmet and land on the back of your head or neck, there's a good chance it will slide forward and you'll still hit your head. In one of his most vulnerable spots. Another problem I have is that the plastic outer panel which gives the helmet a very cool look is not glued to the base of the helmet. I can tighten the shell around the helmet early with my finger. I really wanted to like it. I think if my skull base was protected I probably wouldn't talk much about the outer shell because it's a cheap helmet. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it to anyone. Especially people or kids learning to skate because if you fall behind there is no guarantee it will protect you. Buy another helmet and save yourself a skull and time.
