There is no other way to adjust the fit of this helmet other than the straps which are ridiculously long. My daughter is over 4 feet tall and weighs 80 pounds. It's too big. We are keeping him as he will eventually grow up and the design is cute. But it's a pity that now the fit can't be adjusted for work.

My 1 star rating is based on both the product itself and my experience of returning it. First the product. Nice looking helmet. But too big for my 9 year old. Although the stated age is 8-14 years. I found another bike helmet in the store (same age range 8-14) that fits perfectly. Maybe the difference is that the one I bought from the store was a dedicated bike helmet and this one was a skate/bike helmet, so maybe the style is different. But it shouldn't matter much. Cute but short lived and no base skull protection. It fits me well, although it loses a little it's not that bad. My head measures 56.6 cm which falls in the range of 54-58. I think if you measure under 56cm it will be too big and there isn't any extra padding to put in to tighten the fit. This was a replacement for another helmet that my daughter had lost, same model and size but this one didn't fit her as it was too big even though it was for 8-11 year olds was suitable. -old and we measured her head before we ordered her as a Christmas present. We had to find some leftover football helmet padding, which we temporarily added to allow the tomato helmet to fit like the previous model did.
