Review on Zojirushi SM SA60 BA Stainless Steel 20 Ounce by Jacob Richmond

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm surprised. I didn't expect to be so happy with this product!

Zojirushi SM-SA48-BA Stainless Steel Mug Black 16 oz First of all, I don't often write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so. I can't stop telling people about this little gem! I have used a Contigo Autoseal cup and have been happy with it. This kept my coffee hot for 4-6 hours if left full all day. When I drank about half, the temperature stayed closer to 4 o'clock. This was to be expected. It was my favorite mug as it kept my coffee hot and it was my only leak proof travel mug. Sure, I have a dozen insulated coffee mugs, but none that I could slip in my bag or throw on the leather seat of my Lexus without worrying about spilling. Well, I dropped my Contigo mug shortly after buying it and it crumpled on the side. Pretty good, but the function was ok. About half a year later, after another fall, it started to leak and the plastic threads of the lid tore and no longer held the seal. So I'm back on the hunt for a new travel mug. I roast my own coffee and am very picky about coffee. I've literally spent thousands on coffee and espresso machines. This is considered an addiction. Needless to say, I enjoy having my addiction hot and frequent. Reminds me of my wife! Likewise, I get annoyed when you limit my enjoyment of any of these addictions. So it went without saying that the shell had to be replaced as quickly as possible. So I go to Revain, find the Contigo Autoseal and put it in the shopping cart. Prime baby, I'll get it in a few days. Hey, what's in the recommended products. Zojirushi SM-SA48-BA stainless steel mug, interesting, six months ago I was researching bread machines and it turned out that Zojirushi makes the best, I bought it and we were very impressed with its thoughtful design and quality. A few months later, I broke the thermos I use to pour French Press beer right after extraction. So moving on to Revain and a similar story, I buy a Zojirushi vacuum jug and that was a great product too. So the Zojirushi SM-SA48-BA stainless steel mug caught my attention. Wow, over 1100 reviews and 5 stars. You don't see that too often. $26 compared to the $15 Contigo, hmm that's a lot. I'll just order both. To say I'm impressed with this little gem is an understatement. When I first saw Revain, I didn't like the design. The flip cover appears to be Pia. I always had to turn around to drink once I got used to the Contigo and just pushed the button and drank. Several reviewers also stated that they bumped their noses on the lid. I didn't really think I'd like it, but whatever, I'll try. The package arrived with two mugs as expected, I have included a picture of a soda can so you can compare the two products. First impressions: shape – form factor wise they both look very good. I picked the white Contigo because it's $12 compared to $15+ for other colors. Aside from the color, I love the look of Zojirushi. I think it's more a matter of personal preference. Pretty close just looking at them. Design - Zojirushi is really making progress in this department. When you take these mugs out of the box, you'll be instantly inclined to Zojirushi. As you can see from the photos, compared to the soda can, the Contigo is slightly larger in diameter and the Zojirushi is slightly smaller. My hands are smaller than men's and the Contigo looks big. It's like comparing a soda can to a two-liter soda bottle. The beverage can is more comfortable in the hand. It's an exaggeration, but that's how you'll feel when you compare them. Zojirush just feels more comfortable. Comfortable to hold in a relaxed position. Like a 2 liter bottle, holding the Contigo requires more strength. The Contigo wins when it comes to quickly pouring coffee from a cup to your mouth, but wait. If you are a coffee drinker like me who loves to drink coffee. Mouthfeel from the cup, coffee aroma when inhaling through the nose, filled with air on the first breath. The best environment for this experience is a well-heated open ceramic or porcelain mug. Otherwise, any other form is a compromise. The cup's mouthfeel, the openness as you tilt the cup to inhale the aroma, and the ability to sip when you inhale some air with liquid to enhance your ability to appreciate the aroma's subtle, rich notes smell. Coffee. This is where Zojirushi shines as it best mimics a porcelain mug. Reading reviews like yours, it didn't cross my mind until I took my first sip of Zojirushi. Again, the flip-top seemed less efficient than the Contigo, and maybe it is, but the benefits to coffee enjoyment are great. Therefore, consider drinking from Contigo. It's like drinking through a straw. You suck through a small hole on the edge of the lid and there is no air exchange like through a straw. Remember to drink beer through a straw: you've lost the enjoyment of beer, but you've gained alcohol. Conitgo was the same, but back then it was worth it for a cup of hot coffee without spilling. You've got your caffeine, but you've lost the joy of your cup. You sacrifice the mouthfeel, air exchange with a sip and the aroma of coffee, but you get a hot and leak-proof drink. On the other hand, Zojirushi makes fewer compromises in these areas. Thanks to the flip-top lid, they were able to create a drinking rim similar to drinking from a mug, with enough room for plenty of flavor to escape so you can sip as you drink. This design allows you to enjoy your coffee to the full even in a travel mug. No, you're not sitting on the porch in comfortable clothes sipping a warm cup of goodies, but you have the best coffee drinking environment I've found in a travel uniform. Another impressive design feature, this item can keep your coffee hot all day long. Contigo keeps the temperature of a full cup of coffee for about 6 hours. About 4 hours if you fill it halfway or drink halfway. Zojirushi really shines here too, I poured french press coffee into this little gem at 8am and drank from it all day, and that evening at 6pm, ten hours later, the last drink was temperature, not just warm . Wow, I was impressed. Another tip: I can put the Zojirushi in the back pocket of my jeans or in the inside pocket of my jacket where the Contigo is too bulky for it. Needless to say, you make this purchase and just enjoy your coffee. If you're a Folgers coffee drinker, ignore everything I've said because you just won't get it. It's one of those stupid things but I'm so impressed and it's one of those products that has literally made my life a little bit more comfortable. and I appreciate it!
