Rivet installation is very easy with this set. I bought this to replace rivets I needed to remove from a shoulder strap with a broken clasp and I put them back on in less than a minute. The variety of rivet sizes is enough to meet most people's needs, but there aren't many of each size, so it's more of a "starter kit". Although the entire kit is fairly compact, the anvil is large and heavy enough to sit on and take a hit, and the setter is long enough that you have enough room to grab it without feeling that your fingers are in the way. This set is perfect for small, casual staves. While I wouldn't call them "heavy duty", the rivets don't feel weak or inadequate. I was very pleased with the performance and results of this kit.
