Testimonials: Mechanic 23 years in the US Army now that it doesn't work anymore I say this tool takes off missiles but I could only use it for steel wire. I've tried it on copper cord and it was a big mistake, the cord is too soft for this tool to last long enough to flare and just push through. So if you have copper and want to tear your hair out all day and stick that thing through your neighbor's window, this is for you. Helpful Tip: Bevel the end with a file/dremel, soften the metal with a red fire, place it in the tool while it's hot and screw it down. I've always made my flares in such a way that they have never let me down. I'd say this tool is way better than the cheap stuff we've all tried at least once. So I would say yes, for steel it's worth buying, no for copper, don't waste your time.
