Update: 09/25/2018 To date the chemical smell is still there. The smell can still be picked up by the nose when it's on nearby. Slight headache from this smell after being around for some time. It will most likely be returned soon. As for the accuracy, it's difficult to say because the machine itself produces such an odor.-- ---------------------------- ------------- -------- ------- -------- -------- While PM and AQI appear to work fine, but HCHO and TVOC do. I highly doubt it as the reading doesn't have to be exact. Because when I smell the car through the vents, I smell a very strong chemical odor. I bet the sensor will detect and read the chemical smell of the machine itself. Very very strong smell. I'll leave it on for a short while and see if the smell goes away and the machine works accurately. If not, all I can do is go back and find something that actually works.
