On the bad side: there are questions about ergonomics, namely, why bother with a new control, if the usual combination of a joystick and a spinning disk (as on nickels and 1DX) won universal love. On the other hand, most of the keys adapt to themselves and it is not a problem to set up the desired combination. All this and the lack of a second slot for memory cards fit into the positioning of the Erka - it was cut down just enough so that it would stand between 5D4 and 6D2 in the lineup. Despite all the cuts and the fact that the camera looks pale against the background of competitors, the Erka turned out to be simple and reliable. When you start shooting with it, then the understanding comes that kenon has brought to mind all the possibilities, putting only proven technologies into the camera. Autofocus, although it does not have reportage speed, is amazingly accurate, the body and its dimensions, ergonomics, viewfinder. For those who are tired of adjusting and adjusting each lens on a DSLR, the Canon EOS R will be like a breath of fresh air. I don’t know if this is a feature of Dual pixel AF, but the glasses work flawlessly in terms of accuracy. The native adapter EF-RF supports all the functionality without any crutches, finally the EF 50 / 1.2 got rid of the shift focus and got the ability to focus almost anywhere in the frame. Well, a little about RF optics - the new glasses have made a small step in quality and speed, I've been shooting with the RF50L for more than six months - technically it seems flawless, although there are questions about the bokeh. The difference in drawing is about the same as between 35L and 35LII.
