EDIT: On the second day the handle started slipping off the fiberglass shaft. Dismantled before the head flew off. Now I can see the handle is molded with some sort of bushing inside to try and get the diameter closer to size. At least I can now reattach the handle with double sided tape instead of the minimal rubber glue that was there. If you're swinging it for speed exercises, check the grip! I've watched the Orange Whip for many years and waved it once or twice, but always thought it was some kind of trick. Well, my wife and kids are learning to play, and my wife in particular has a very long backswing and her tempo often breaks. So I looked at the regular whip and said there was no way it could get to $109 and this one was half the price and had decent reviews. There are others that are cheaper than these, but people have complained that traction weakens with them. I don't know if this will cause any problems, but I would like to make two comments: 1) This handle is very small in diameter. It's like a youth size and even smaller than my wife's racquets. So this is small for those playing with a regular male grip or medium size. 2) I originally dismissed any questions about how to get a better grip as a newbie golfer, as most of us who've played for a while know that catching clubs with double sided tape and thinner is usually pretty easy, but if you look at the attached picture you will see that this shaft is not a normal diameter. That. A thin piece of fiberglass with a vinyl coating on it. Not quite sure if the handle is tight as well. My guess is that there's a socket under the grip that's getting the normal grip but not ready to dive into it just yet. Works well. It's faster than I expected and I'm not sure if everyone really stops at the top of the swing. I know I've always had a fairly quick transition and seen the shaft flex at the top on my real racquets, but this will probably remind me to "wait" slower, as my dad used to say. Will definitely help my wife stretch and get less tame/as deep with her backswing (wish I had that yoga flexibility).
