When you're hauling stuff around in your truck (that's what you have a truck for, right?), you'll find out pretty quickly that you really want a different connection point. After asking dealers for prices I just went to Revain to save some money. They're pretty basic, so there's no need for an extensive review. They were identical to the factory rails that matched my Tacoma rails. They're a little pricey for a piece of durable plastic with some metal, but if you need to secure loads, it's worth paying $50 for a few more of these after a highway trip or an uncomfortable load. After installing them, I had absolutely no way of telling which ones came with the truck and which ones I bought, so I'm not worried about them lasting or being genuine OEM parts. Rails, buy these.
