Great monitor - I prefer it to the Apple LED Cinema

With a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 1920 x 1200 resolution, an anti-glare screen and ultra-narrow bezels, this Dell U2415 LED monitor is a great choice for almost any deployment, be it Mac or Windows. Same pixel density and size as the discontinued 24" Apple Cinema LED display. I have this display and the 27" Apple LED Cinema alongside the U2415, I actually prefer the Dell for these reasons (and since Apple has been selling their displays for about March 3rd). Hasn't updated in years): 1. The color scheme seems to be the same. Pictures and pages look better.2. The anti-reflective coating is excellent. It's not so dramatic as to affect clarity or affect colors.3. The eyes get less tired thanks to the LED lighting. I don't know if it's related to Apple's display technology versus Dell, but the same image that tires my eyes with glare on Apple's LED display relaxes on Dell's with decent brightness. Almost everything on Dell is easier on my eyes.4. The pixel density - pixels per inch - is the same as the 24-inch Apple LED Cinema display, but higher than the 27-inch Apple display. For my eyes over 60, I find large text much easier to read on the Dell.5. USB 3. Apple displays still only have USB 2 ports. Dell includes a device cable to enable these 5 ports.6. DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort. Both connectors are on the back of the U2415. The included miniDP to DP cable can be used by Mac users by connecting the DP end to the U2415 and the miniDP to their Mac. For PC users, the opposite may be required depending on the graphics card.7. HDMI x 2 works as an input for some PCs and of course video sources including iPad/iPhone mirroring (via the Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter). Due to the height of 1200 pixels (16:10 screen vs. 16:9 HD content), HD video content has black bars at the top and bottom. Please note that the Dell U2415 does NOT include speakers, microphone or camera, three features found on Apple monitors. Includes HDMI audio output and mounting slots for optional Dell Soundbar. The plastic stand's gray steel finish doesn't match the aluminum, but it's close enough to look decent with a Mac. The thin bezel almost hides the monitor, making it ideal for multi-monitor situations. I looked at some cheap Presidents Day monitors and quickly switched to this monitor due to the above features and my requirement for the monitor stand to be fully adjustable in height, tilt and swivel to align with my other monitor. I don't need to view things in portrait mode - although the U2415 worked great reading the local paper at near life size - but it's nice that the stand also supports swiveling should I ever need a normal portrait orientation. It should be noted that the monitor was okay with 75% brightness and contrast when delivered, but was too bright. I've used System Preferences > Display > Color > Calibration to adjust the monitor for my video adapter and environment and I currently have a brightness of 52% and contrast of 90%. Just to make sure I don't sound like an idiot, my comparison to Apple's 27-inch LED cinema display is based on everything but overall size and pixel count. Of course, this 27-inch monitor has a much larger footprint and isn't at all apple-to-apple like the 24-inch Apple LED Cinema. .Highly recommended.
