I was looking for a cheap 24" programming monitor since my new Mac laptops have 13" displays. I just needed more real estate. This monitor fits the bill AFTER I've ordered the correct cable. Cables are key, so let's get them out of the way. 2 Thunderbolt(3) ports 13" MacBook Pro 2018 Four Thunderbolt ports Monitor comes with DP to miniDP to USB 3 upstream cable. DP miniDP monitor only works with laptop (1 ) which has a miniDP connector, however I have a miniDP to Thunderbolt connector that does NOT work with the included cable and laptops (2) and (3) as well as my USB to Thunderbolt connector and when using an HDMI to HDMI plus HDMI to miniDPA cable works Networking with various people having issues connecting to Thunderbolt ports I finally found an offer to buy a DP Thunderbolt cable. I bought the following and both work with laptops (2) and (3) and AFAICT, the monitor works at 1920 x 1200 resolution.(I prefer the first one here because it's a flex cable and I bend my knees all the time move up but both worked The second one has a latch on the DP that you d to detach the cable from the back of the monitor, the first one doesn't.) - - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075V27G2R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1-- https: //smile.amazon.com/ gp/product/B01K51GM46/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1plus https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H3Q59U /ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1If you want super sharp need graphics, this monitor may not be right for you. But if you just need to read the text, that's fine. At the moment I'm just trying to get used to my progressive lenses and the new monitor in a new position. The text can appear pixelated if I don't hit the right spot through the lenses. But that's my problem. Every new monitor takes some getting used to. I like the stand very much. Not only is the height adjustable from almost 0, but you can also tilt down vertically. This is important for me because the monitor is a bit higher than me. And it rotates in the middle of the base. Also, the monitor is lightweight so installation was easy, although the ports on the back of the monitor are a bit difficult to access. But you only connect once (at least after you find the right cable). The monitor did not come with an instruction manual, which made finding the control buttons difficult. But once I found this online (link to Revain's product page), I figured out how the buttons on the bottom right of the screen work. They will NOT work the same if you don't have the right cable. In particular, you can only see the On-Screen Display (OSD) if you have the right cable. It's good value for money, but Dell really needs to do a better job of explaining which cables are needed for different Macs.
